Solar Roofing

Like many companies in today’s market, we promote the use of anything environmentally friendly. Our solar roofing solutions, mean you can provide a sustainable source of energy for your home or company, whilst providing an alternative to tiles.

Rather than fitting the standard roof tiles made of clay, concrete or slate, we install solar panels build in photovoltaic solar cells. We can install these, either onto new build properties for both residential and commercial purposes, or they can be used on existing roofs during the refurbishment of an old roof.

How does solar work ?

The cells inside the tiles are connected in a series so as soon as the light makes contact with them, it causes the opposing electrons and protons to migrate in different directions, which creates an electric field within the cell.

A grid of contacts then collects the current on either side of each cell creating 5 to several hundred watts of 12 Volt DC (direct current) power.

Green Roofing

Green Roofs are becoming more and more popular. They are building covered in vegetation or soil, planted over a waterproofing membrane and can include a layered root barrier, drainage and irrigation systems.

Maintenance

Solar roof tiles have an average lifespan of more than 20 years so you'll get a lot out of them. The solar panels are really easy to maintain, they are connected using a locking system that can easily be removed to replace, examine or clean them.
